Next up is my relief project. This is the first layer of a 3 colour reduction print. All the darker parts will be printed in white, then I'll go back to the block and cut more away. The black lines are just from where I was marking my cutting. It's going to be a print of Medusa, since I have this crazy fascination with female monsters right now.

Acid baths and lino cutters
Today was a pretty productive day. I was able to etch and do a proof print of my insect project for my intaglio class. Since I hate insects, the beetle was given is small and hidden in the mass of hair. Portraits are prettier than bugs anyway. This can be seen here:
